About the Program
The theatre program offers strong academic training while addressing unique challenges in an acting and performing environment from a Christian perspective. Students have the opportunity for involvement in acting, performing, directing, and writing for campus productions. Students can also participate in the backstage process and in the production process with set design, costume design, lighting, and sound.
The theatre program offers an undergraduate theatre degree to equip students for careers in the arts. The department offers six opportunities to perform– from the main stage to the smaller black box theatre. Students majoring in other areas are welcome to participate in productions.
Our facilities offer one of the largest stages in the Twin Cities area, fly space, an elevated orchestra pit, and state-of-the-art lighting and sound equipment that is fully staffed all year.
All students who desire to major or minor in Theatre may audition for scholarships. More details can be found under Theatre Scholarship Information.
