News and entertainment on campus

Eagle7 is a low-power television station located at Northwestern. Its signal is cablecast inside the main dorms and sometimes on CTV15 in the Roseville area. The news program runs every Friday just before chapel service.

Eagle7 allows students to get a hands-on experience working in the the news industry for television. They learn how to read teleprompters and use impromptu speech while speaking clearly.

Over the years, students have produced and broadcast a weekly late-night talk show, newscasts, and sporting events. Eagle7 participants are often involved in televising special events on campus, such as the Five16 Film Festival and Athletics events. Participation in student television is open to all students, regardless of academic program.
