University of Northwestern is partnering with Valencia Hills Community Church in California to provide leaders the opportunity to earn a 16-credit Graduate Certificate in Ministry Leadership from Northwestern with a few specialized transfer courses taught at Valencia Hills. It is the desire of Valencia Hills and Northwestern to equip Christian leaders with spiritual formation, relational and cultural awareness, and management skills to prepare leaders for further impact in one’s home, church, community, and workplace.

Designed for working professionals or those in ministry, this graduate certificate can be completed in about one year, and students who want to continue their studies at Northwestern may apply all of the certificate credits toward a Master of Arts in Ministry Leadership, Master of Arts in Theological Studies, or Master of Divinity.

Coursework

Partnership students who successfully complete the Valencia Hills courses listed below may receive up to four graduate credits that will substitute for Northwestern coursework. Contact Valencia Hills for registration information. The remaining 12 credits, which include some electives, are completed online through Northwestern.
