PSEO Class Formats

Northwestern offers on-campus PSEO to high school juniors and seniors who are 15 years of age and older, and are interested in face-to-face learning at the University of Northwestern – St. Paul campus in Roseville, Minnesota. All students attending classes on-campus must agree to and sign UNW’s Declaration of Christian Community.

On-Campus PSEO Courses Available

On-campus students have access to hundreds of courses each semester and can participate in many extracurricular groups such as musical ensembles, theatre, clubs, intramural sports, and even intercollegiate sports. Students can take many of our courses on-campus; however, we recommend checking with a high school guidance counselor to determine which courses to take for high school graduation requirements. Our Bible classes are not covered under the PSEO program but can be taken at a discounted rate through the Early College program. Check out our course catalog for details.

Residential Option

Students taking PSEO classes on-campus may be eligible to live in the dorms at Northwestern. While most students in the on-campus PSEO program choose to commute from home, high school seniors who are at least 17 years old can apply to live in the dorms alongside traditional Northwestern students. Fees associated with room and board are not covered by the PSEO program and will be charged to the student. Please contact [email protected] with additional questions.

Questions

How does the PSEO on-campus selection process work?

Acceptance to the on-campus PSEO program is competitive. We are seeking well-rounded individuals who will be a great fit for the classroom and for the Northwestern community. Please review the PSEO Application page for additional information about application standards, or contact [email protected].

Will the courses I take transfer to other colleges and universities?

When you successfully complete (and pass) a college course at Northwestern, full college credit will be applied to your Northwestern academic record. Northwestern is regionally accredited and these credits may be used to complete a degree at Northwestern or may be transferred to another educational institution. We encourage you to check the requirements of the program where further study is planned before selecting your PSEO courses.
