Biographical information:

Dr. Hildahl began his professional career in the Submarine Service where he saw first-hand the strain that military life can place on families in the midst of lengthy deployments. Desiring to address this need, he made plans to return to civilian life long enough to complete a Master’s in theology and several thousand hours of requisite Clinical Chaplaincy work before returning to military life as an endorsed Chaplain.

It was while working towards this goal and in his role as a Cardiac ICU Chaplain that J. Anton underwent what at the time was thought to be a routine corneal transplant – later to discover it had also been a type of surgery that would medically prevent him from ever returning to military service.

Redirecting his passion to help families, Dr. Hildahl began a Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy with a Christ-centered focus. However, ongoing conversations with his ICU patients and their families, in conjunction with similar questions from his Atheist and Muslim friends eventually persuaded Dr. Hildahl to fill a void in the Church by placing his DMFT on hold to complete extensive research in Christian Apologetics and Evangelism.

Personal Mission Statement

Following in the apologetic footsteps of Jesus and the independent, eyewitness authors of the New Testament, I seek to strengthen and exhort obedient followers of the one God, Jesus Christ – to actively love God and neighbor; to set aside blind faith by seeking to really know both God and neighbor; to diligently remove obstacles to perception of the truth of: the supernatural birth, the prophetic life, the physical death, and the historicity of the bodily resurrection of Jesus, our Lord God and Savior – with confidence, gentleness, and respect. (1 Cor. 15; Gal. 1-3; 1 Pet. 3:15; Eph. 4:12-16).
