Michelle Turner serves as an Adjunct Instructor, the Denler Gallery Director, and the Department of Art & Design Office Coordinator at UNW. Turner is a generalist art historian who has worked to broaden UNW's Art History offerings by developing new Topics courses like "African Art" and "Women in Art."
Turner holds a Masters in Art History and Certificate in Museum Studies from the University of St. Thomas. Before transitioning to teaching, she worked for three years at Groveland Gallery in Minneapolis. Prior to Groveland Gallery, she volunteered and interned at a number of Twin Cities art institutions, including but not limited to the Minneapolis Institute of Art, the Minnesota Museum of American Art in St. Paul, and Midway Contemporary Art.
Turner also serves as an Adjunct Instructor in Art History at the University of St. Thomas, Bethlehem College & Seminary, and Bethel University.
