Zachary Lundstrom is an animator, illustrator, designer, and teacher from the Twin Cities. Zac started animating his junior year of high school after taking several classes at Century College. He also discovered his passion for teaching in high school when he began teaching art and sculpture at a camp in Pine River, MN.
Zac is an alum of Northwestern and graduated with a B.S. in Digital Media Arts in 2016. After graduation, he first worked as an animation intern and then for a startup marketing company. He eventually became this startup’s lead animator, illustrator, and designer.
Zac has taught at the college level since 2018. He teaches animation, web design, and video classes. He currently teaches at Saint Paul College and Dakota County Technical College in addition to UNW. Zac has served as an advisor for Century College’s 3D animation program since 2016.
Outside of teaching, Zac and his wife started their own creative business in 2019. They have done web design and logo design for various non-profits, churches, and library systems. Across his career, Zac has done web design, icon illustration, character design, logo animation, 2D character animation, board game design, print design, animated email campaigns, and more.
Zac’s hobbies are mainly centered around his career field. He is co-leading a team on an animated series, writing and illustrating children’s books based on MN culture, and he enjoys sculpting with polymer clay. He also enjoys running with his wife, keeping his three cats out of trouble, playing board games, and renovating his house.
