SYMPOSIUM INFORMATION

Northwestern professor Dr. Boyd Seevers and Northwestern students helped excavate an archaeological site in Israel dating to the times of Joshua and the Israelite conquest, the book of Judges, and Jesus and the New Testament. Scores of these artifacts will be on display at Northwestern during the 2019 calendar year.

The exhibit will formally open with a symposium on January 29 in the Nazareth Great Room. Several speakers, including Dr. Scott Stripling, director of the excavation, will give the story and explain the importance of the excavation. Following the presentation, attendees are invited to a dessert reception and to view the exhibit. Dr. Seevers and students involved in the excavations will describe the artifacts in the exhibit dating from the biblical eras of Joshua, Judges and Jesus.

Register below to attend the free symposium and catch a glimpse of how people lived at the times of several key biblical events. Our hope is that each of you will leave with a better understanding of the ancient biblical world—an understanding that will enrich your reading and study of the Bible.
