Northwestern professor Dr. Boyd Seevers and Northwestern students helped excavate an archaeological site in Israel dating to the times of Joshua and the Israelite conquest, the book of Judges, and Jesus and the New Testament.
Catch a glimpse of how people lived at the times of several key biblical events as you look through the scores of biblical artifacts on display.
Several speakers, including Dr. Scott Stripling, director of the excavation, will give the story and explain the importance of the excavation. Dr. Seevers and students involved in the excavations will describe the artifacts in the exhibit dating from the biblical eras of Joshua, Judges and Jesus.
Our hope is that each of you will leave with a better understanding of the ancient biblical world—an understanding that will enrich your reading and study of the Bible.
