ST. PAUL – Dr. Alan Cureton, president of the University of Northwestern-St. Paul (UNW) and Northwestern Media, recently addressed graduates of International House University (IHU), a global center that provides Christian educational training at various academic levels for students throughout the world. Cureton was also recognized with an honorary doctorate degree in quality education as part of IHU’s ceremony and Global Retreat event.
Cureton delivered his message, titled “This One Thing I Know”, a presentation of Jesus’s healing of a blind man, to a Nazareth Great Hall room comprised of Northwestern students and staff, current and graduating IHU students and friends, and an IHU online audience of several hundred who participated in the event from their homes in Canada, China, Hong Kong, India, the Philippines, and the United States, among other countries. IHU awarded 360 academic credentials at the commencement event, ranging from diploma certificates to bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
Established in 2015, IHU exists to provide Christ-centered training for pastors and teachers online around the world, with the goal to equip students with a whole-person education in order to build quality churches and schools in all nations. IHU graduates are serving Christ in such capacities worldwide, predominantly in China.
