The environmental science and business program prepares you for a career in environmental resource management in an organization that is focused on environmental concerns related to its business practices. You can receive practical training from faculty who are experts in their fields, both in biology and in business. You will learn to translate research and scientific findings into applications for corporate settings. In this program you have the choice of a General Business track or a Marketing track.
Northwestern is blessed to be located on a beautiful campus with 30 acres of forest attached to a large lake. Having close access to this aquatic and terrestrial environment allows you to study the environment right on campus. Here you can learn about God’s creation using a hands-on approach. Northwestern students are currently working with Ramsey Conservation District to help restore the Lake Johanna shoreline. You also have the opportunity to gain experience in environmental courses through the Au Sable Institute in northern Michigan.
At Northwestern, we offer small and personalized classes. This enable professors to work with you individually to empower you to be a steward over God’s creation and to protect our limited natural resources. You can grow in your faith both inside and outside of the classroom to gain a deeper appreciation for the world around you. We teach students that God has given us the role of steward over the creation which ultimately belongs to Him....Having students get involved with this hands-on work allows students to carry out this call in a real way and exposes them to ways in which we can care for the creation. It makes the concepts that we cover in our classes more real for the students. They can directly see the fruits of their labor.
