For over 100 years, students have come to Northwestern to learn and pursue the purposes God has for them. Our programs not only prepare students for a career, but also equip them for ministry and leadership throughout life.

The Department of Music & Theatre offers undergraduate degrees to equip students for careers related to music or theatre. The department is committed to excellence in classical music and theatre preparation, while also embracing newer repertoire, within a Christian environment. The overall department is comprised of the Music Program, Theatre Program, and an Academy of Music Community Music School.

Music Tours

Northwestern musicians have opportunities to take their talents on tour. Our ensembles have traveled across Europe; including Spain, Estonia, Ireland, Finland.

Tours provide students with a unique opportunity to celebrate the mission of University of Northwestern outside its walls, creating cross-cultural experiences which can be transformational musically, socially, and spiritually.
