The Department of Christian Ministries prepares students for graduate study and to serve in the U.S. and abroad as pastors, missionaries, teachers, and nonprofit leaders. An Accelerated Master of Arts in Ministry Leadership Program is available for each major, with an additional Accelerated Master of Divinity available to students in the Pastoral Ministry program.
Our vision is to inspire emerging leaders to live out their calling wherever God sends them. We want to help you discover your unique calling and develop core skills in teaching for spiritual transformation, developing Christ-like relationships, leading for visionary impact and engaging with diverse cultures and communities. We do this through five main degrees that include concentrations in Worship and Creative Arts, Next Generation, Nonprofit Leadership, Social Justice, English Language Teaching, International Teaching, Camping Ministry. By the time you graduate, you will have spent over 200 hours doing real-life ministry through internships in the United States or Internationally.

Approximately 50 ministry scholarships are awarded each year to qualified ministry students in addition to their Northwestern financial aid package.
