Prayer and worship are key features of a Northwestern education. We praise God daily and glorify Him in everything we do, while also lifting each other up through prayer in the classroom, in chapel, and everywhere else on campus.
The Student Life Worship Arts Collective offers opportunities for participation in various expressions of worship within chapel and other gatherings. We pursue broad participation within the student body, inviting all with the desire to share and to dedicate to the Lord worshipful expressions of artistic gifts and talents.
Through caring mentorship, students are coached and developed in leading worship with genuineness. Students lead the community in worship at the start of daily chapel, Friday Praise Chapels, prayer gatherings, and other events.
Praise Chapel
Every Friday, our students lift their voices in praise to God through a time of musical worship during a chapel dedicated to celebrating and adoring Jesus. During this time, student worship leaders or guest worship artists lead our community through contemporary songs and hymns.
Prayer at Northwestern
Prayer is happening everywhere at Northwestern. Visit our campus, and you'll see students praying together, prayer to open staff meetings, and faculty praying to begin classes.
Prayer Room
The Billy Graham Community Life Commons is home to Northwestern's prayer room. It is open 24 hours a day and offers a quiet space for individual reflection or corporate prayer.
PrayerWorks
PrayerWorks is coordinated through Northwestern Media and reaches far beyond our students. Pray for others and ask others to pray for you here.
