- Will student live with parents or court appointed guardians while taking PSEO courses?
- Will student physically be in the state of MN during each semester enrolled in PSEO courses?
If so, then proceed with the PSEO application. If not, please fill out Early College Application.
New Students
- Complete the applicable PSEO application above. This includes the following supplemental items: high school transcript, standardized test scores (optional), NOSR (Notice of Student Registration) Form required by the State of Minnesota. Find out more on their website. Please send supplemental items to admissionsde@unwsp.edu.
- You will receive an email to the inbox listed on your application containing your acceptance status; if you are accepted, you will also receive an email with information about myUNW student portal, which includes your Northwestern email account. *Please note that all communication from UNW, including registration instructions, will be sent to this student email address, so you will need to check it regularly.
- The on-campus PSEO program is very competitive with limited availability. You will be asked to submit an unedited video essay and two recommendations as a part of the application process.
- You will receive your textbooks and course materials just before the class begins. PSEO students do not need to order them.
Returning Students
Returning students, please submit the 23-24 Notice of Student Registration Form to de@unwsp.edu. Please be aware the state of Minnesota will pay for courses that meet high school graduation requirements. Find out more on their website. For courses that do not meet high school graduation requirements, you will be responsible for payment. Work with your school and your UNW academic advisor to make your best plan.

Online and On-site requirements:
- Unweighted high school GPA of at least 2.75
- Meeting one of our standardized testing requirements (optional):
- ACT or PreACT score of at least 18 (Code: ACT 2138)
- ACT Aspire score of at least 427
- PSAT or SAT score of at least 940 (Code: SAT 6489)
- CLT score of at least 61
- MAP test with a Math score of at least 235, Language of at least 222, and Reading at least 222
- California Achievement (CAT), Stanford Achievement (Stanford 10), Iowa Basics, Peabody, Terra Nova
- We do not accept: Practice ACT, ACT Explore, PSAT 8/9, Accuplacer, ASVAB, or MCAs.
- Any other test scores not listed above can be submitted for review, but may be deemed unsatisfactory by the admissions committee.
- Junior or senior in high school
- No faith requirement is necessary
On-campus requirements: To ensure students are well prepared for the rigor of studying in a college campus setting, there are higher minimum requirements.
- Unweighted high school GPA of at least 3.3
- Meeting one of our standardized testing requirements (optional):
- ACT or Pre ACT score of at least 22 (Code: ACT 2138)
- Aspire score of at least 434
- SAT or PSAT score of at least 1090 (Code: SAT 6489)
- CLT score of at least 72
- Demonstrate an excellent "fit" with the Northwestern community as determined by two essays (1 written and 1 video), an academic, and a spiritual recommendation. The written essay is a response to these two questions, "How have you seen Jesus Christ working in and through your life? How do you hope Northwestern and its community will impact your spiritual growth and development?"
- Junior or senior in high school
- Enroll in a minimum of 6 on-campus credits (commuter) or 12 on-campus credits (residential) at Northwestern (once admitted into the program)
- At least 15 years of age at the time of enrollment
