CONTACT INFORMATION
Annalisa Buerke serves as the early field experience coordinator for all licensure areas in the School of Education. Additionally, she is the program manager for all online English & Literature courses in Dual Enrollment and teaches as an adjunct in this program. Annalisa also facilitates the Best Practices in Online Teaching training module for all new online or blended instructors for the Office of Online Learning and oversees various curricular projects for DE. Prior to teaching at Northwestern, Annalisa taught high school English in the Twin Cities.
Annalisa’s research interests lie in the areas of critical literacy, cosmopolitan literacy, whiteness theory and the preparation of preservice teachers to work with students from diverse backgrounds. She is currently pursuing an Ed.D in Literacy, Culture and Language Education through Indiana University – Bloomington.
Annalisa is married with two children and enjoys reading, gardening and spending time with family and friends.
Professional Accomplishments/Associations
Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB) – Annalisa has served as a team member on multiple accreditation visits to provide onsite program review and initial unit approval for MN teacher preparation programs.
