Since joining the faculty in 2015, Gwen has encouraged her students to use their gifts and God-given talents for His purpose. Her current UNW-SP role as a business educator and accounting program manager is uplifting as she works primarily with adults returning to school.
“When a family situation in 2014 brought a nephew to live with us, I home-schooled him for a year. I was hooked on the individual nature of learning and enlightened by the variety of tools available for online schools and individual assessments. That was when I knew my future flex-professional status would be heavily saturated in non-traditional teaching opportunities.”
Gwen’s prior leadership experience as a Director at United Health Group included national initiatives related to Revenue Accounting, Provider Access, Product Management, and Sales Operations. In her community Gwen has served on non-profit boards and educational steering committees. Whether a small church or a small business, she finds ways to help, encourage, and improve the day-to-day business functions that improve everyone’s focus toward achieving the organization’s mission.

"Each student is uniquely created by God for His purpose. I've enjoyed many opportunities to come alongside Christian learners in their pursuit for knowledge, discovery, and to find out how God will use them for His glory." –Gwen Cossin
