Jessica holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and a master’s degree in education, and she is currently in the final phase of her Ph.D. in Criminal Justice, focusing her dissertation on the intersection of juvenile justice and special education.
She brings over a decade of experience as a high school Special Education teacher, specializing in behavior management and supporting students navigating academic and behavioral challenges. Her professional and academic work is fueled by a deep passion for criminology—particularly issues related to youth, justice, and system reform.
In addition to teaching, Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, keeping up with their active schedules and the family’s energetic Charcoal Lab, Roy. When she is not teaching or writing, she enjoys crime documentaries, suspense novels, and quality time with family and friends.
Jessica is thrilled to bring her real-world experience and academic insight into the classroom and is passionate about inspiring students to think critically about justice, ethics, and the human side of criminology.
