John has 25 years of marketing and strategic planning experience as a senior executive working with Fortune 1000 companies such as Pepsico, S.C. Johnson, and Lifetouch. He has a deep knowledge of retail, fast food/restaurant and packaged goods industries across the public, private and employee owned sectors.
His areas of expertise include development and execution of integrated marketing and promotion plans across all media platforms, advertising, brand value proposition optimization, and strategic planning. He also has extensive experience in business development, managing outside agencies, and developing and leading teams in matrix environments.
He began his teaching as an adjunct Professor at Northwestern in January of 2015, leading the Corporate Strategies and Policies class.
John has been married to his wife Lorinda for 25 years and they have 10 children. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Children Desiring God, has been a children and adult Sunday school teacher, Bible Study Fellowship leader, and mentor.
John enjoys all sports, exploring the Boundary Waters, and doing anything and everything with his family.
