Church involvement or community service

I am looking forward to serving at my daughters’ school this academic year. I also enjoy participating in church-related events and community sponsored events to support families in our area.

Personal teaching philosophy

I believe in teaching from a Christian worldview, integrating simulations and hands-on approaches to apply the content to real-world practice. I teach students what they need to know to be successful while also being a mentor, walking alongside of them each and every day!

Why do you work at Northwestern?

Northwestern is a special community and campus. The culture at Northwestern fosters compassion, inclusion, and the Christian worldview. I feel that while my students are learning from the content that I teach, I am also learning from each one of them. From the beautiful campus featuring nature, walking trails, and a breathtaking view of Lake Johanna, to the richness of the architecture and the insightful students, staff, and faculty that roam the halls, it is a special place to be.
