ST. PAUL, Minn., September 26, 2024 – In conjunction with its recent September meeting, University of Northwestern – St. Paul (UNW) Board of Trustees welcomed two new members. Both Dalynn Hoch ‘93 and Cade Lambert ‘00 provide a wealth of knowledge and insight from their respective professional fields of work while also understanding and subscribing to the uniqueness of Northwestern’s mission as former students.
Hoch earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northwestern prior to a corporate finance and audit career that has spanned more than three decades. After becoming a Partner at KPMG, Mrs. Hoch served as the Senior Vice President of Finance for Zurich Insurance Group before becoming the Chief Financial Officer for Zurich North America. After living abroad in Switzerland for several years, Hoch recently relocated to the Twin Cities with her family to lead Rural Community Insurance Services (RCIS), a Zurich Company. Mrs. Hoch and her husband, Emory, have two children, one of which attends Northwestern. This will be Hoch’s second time joining UNW’s Board, as she previously served the organization prior to relocating to Switzerland.
Lambert is a K-12 education veteran who has held several classroom and administrative roles in both public and private schools since graduating from UNW with a Bachelor of Science degree. Mr. Lambert is currently in his ninth year serving as Head of School for Des Moines Christian School, a Christian K-12 school with over 1,100 students and 200 staff. His past positions have included several years as a public-school classroom teacher and administrative leadership at New Life Academy in Woodbury, Minn. Lambert is also an active board member with the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and the Council on Educational Standards and Accountability. Mr. Lambert and his wife, Jennifer (’00) have four children.
“Dalynn and Cade are two outstanding individuals who are deeply aligned with Northwestern’s mission and have a heart for our students and the local communities impacted by this organization” said President Corbin Hoornbeek. “I am confident that both will be significant contributors to our continued effectiveness and a wise counsel as we seek to advance the gospel.”
In terms of their committee work, Hoch has been assigned to the Board’s Advancement Committee, while Lambert will serve as a member of the Finance Committee.
New Northwestern Trustees are elected by the Board and serve an initial one-year term, per the corporate bylaws. Upon re-election to the Board, each member’s successive term is three years in length. The 24-member Board of Trustees meets three times annually.
