Admitted PSEO students who express interest in the Associate's degree will be referred to an advisor. Each semester, the advisor helps create a personalized academic plan and tracks the student's progress.
Students pursuing an associate’s degree will complete coursework in popular general education areas, along with Biblical Studies coursework to develop their worldview. Students develop healthy study habits and critical thinking skills applicable to the workforce or future collegiate studies. Earning my associate’s degree has allowed me to get a head start on my 4-year bachelor's degree. I was not originally planning on working towards an associate’s degree, but I had taken so many classes through the PSEO program that I was able to earn it by taking only a few more classes in my last semester of high school. My favorite class was Latin American Short Stories with Kimberly Cronen. She is an incredible professor because she creates an amazing classroom environment and challenges us in our learning.
Having the opportunity to get my associate’s degree online through PSEO while still in high school has saved me both time and money. The professors made their classes an enjoyable and positive experience.
Getting my associate’s degree has motivated me to keep pushing in life. With my associate’s degree, I was able to get into the School of Nursing straight out of high school. My favorite class so far has been Human Physiology with Dr. Simat. I like science classes, but he made it more interesting by being so realistic. He also pushes students to the highest potential and is always ready to help.
