Samantha Jenee Laumann, soprano, is a passionate vocalist, actress, and musical theatre pedagogist in the Twin Cities who has performed in equity and non-equity theatre houses across America.

 

Samantha currently studies with vocal pedagogist Jared Tradeau NYC who specializes in cross-training Broadway performers. She holds a MM in Musical Theatre Performance from Boston Conservatory of Music at Berklee and a BMus from University of North Carolina School of the Arts.

In 2020, Samantha obtained a Certificate of Completion in Vocal Pedagogy at Boston Conservatory of Music at Berklee. Additional training and certification include Crossing Classical to CCM (Contemporary Commercial Music) at the Shenandoah CCM Institute at Shenandoah University and The Visceral Voice at Penn State University.

 

Since moving to the Twin Cities in 2015, Samantha has focused on teaching and music directing. She has music directed and conducted musicals including The Little Mermaid, Brigadoon, Les Misérables, Urinetown, Little Shop of Horrors, including the American Premier of Cole Porter’s Le Ambassador’s Revue. In 2021, Samantha directed and musical directed Pasek & Paul’s Edges for the BFA Guthrie Actor Training Program.

 

In addition to performing, Samantha teaches voice at the University of Northwestern – St. Paul and as a Lecturer of Musical Theatre for University of Minnesota/Guthrie Theater BFA Actor Training Program.
